Ideally 5 years of practical Estimating experience
Good understanding of Technical Drawings Ideally we want someone who is willing to become an integral part of the company's growth, reporting directly to the Company Director. We are looking for someone with a proven track record of winning Tenders within the above scope of works, completing & returning quotations with in the allocated time frame.
M&E Estimating (strong Electrical)
Mainly Commercial (with some Industrial but no Residential) Tendering
Projects ranging from £10k - £4M +
Attending site surveys & pre-tender meetings
Liaising with main contractors & clients
Understand and scrutinise Project Specifications & Drawings
Meeting with Client and Consultants
No Estimating package currently used
Obtaining all information required to successfully bid and win project.
To manage all costs relating to projects, from the initial calculations to the final bid
Preparing tender and contract documents, including bills of quantities with the architect and/or the client
Assisting in establishing a client's requirements and undertaking feasibility studies;
Performing risk and value management and cost control; ·
Identifying, analysing and developing responses to commercial risks
Maintaining awareness of the different building contracts in current use
Carrying out feasibility studies; ·writing reports ·making valuations; ·providing advice and forecasts about costs
Working within the health and safety regulations
Candidate Requirements:
Preferred, HNC or BTEC in Building Services or equivalent
Must have minimum 5 years Electrical Estimating experience, with packages in excess of £10,000 to £5m
Technically competent with a good understanding of Electrical installation methods and pricing
Strong mathematical and IT skills
Microsoft Excel, Word
