Gas Safety Mechanical Installation Engineer
Location: Working around the M25
Pay: £20.00 to £23.00 per hour (depending on exp)
Temp to Perm
Applicants must have own Vehicle
We are currently looking for a dynamic and personable lead Mechanical Installation Engineer who is Gas Safety registered you will be dealing with Commercial Gas Safe Registered Plumber/Pipe/Gas Fitter & Heating Engineer applicants must have completed a plumbing/heating apprenticeship with a recognised company within the industry and who has a commercial gas qualification.

Approved Apprenticeship - Plumbing & Heating
CIGA1 - Install, commission, service, repair and breakdown of commercial indirect fired heating appliances & equipment.
CORT1 - install, commission, service, repair and breakdown of gas fired commercial overhead luminous radiant plaque and radiant tube heaters.
ICPN1 - Installation of commercial pipework (first fix)
TPCP1A - testing and purging commercial pipework to the requirements of IGE/UP/1A
CoDNCO1 - changeover domestic natural gas to commercial.
Clean driving licence
Clean criminal record - security clearance is needed to access many sites
CSCS Card
Personable, positive, honest and reliable with extensive experience of mechanical installation work.
Key Responsibilities
You will be responsible to the Contract Manager and will be expected to competently cover a range of tasks with all mechanical elements. As well as being a capable installation engineer you must also possess an ability to run installation projects where you will be expected to:
Interpret specifications and drawings, liaising with consultants and designers
Work closely with the Contract Manager to ensure project specifications are adhered to and deadlines are met
Organise labour/materials on site to meet programme needs
Liaise with the Purchase Manager to order and arrange delivery of materials/plant to site
Able to work on own initiative and problem solve to assist Contracts Managers where possible
Representative of the company at all times, to be able to provide exceptional customer service and answer any customer questions and attend meetings when required.
Work mainly on commercial plumbing projects, public health installations including hot and cold-water services and drainage.
Install chilled water systems and sanitary ware.
Between projects you will be assisting on the long term client sites where in addition to the above you will also be expected to:
Diagnose and repair problems in commercial and domestic plumbing systems, including fault-finding.
Assess the parts needed for a job and place orders for those parts
Conduct routine maintenance and testing on commercial and domestic boilers and heating and ensure installations are to manufacturer standards.
Work alone to find and present faults and concerns in heating and plumbing systems without receiving explicit direction
Provide exceptional customer service and answer any customer questions
Provide professional assessments and advice for clients
