Introduction: Kier Highways is looking to recruit an Agent, who will report to the Site Manager. The successful candidate will be responsible for the successful completion of schemes, including managing the work from inception to completion on site.


Kier Highways design roads, bridges and intelligent transport systems (ITS), covering strategic and nationally important roads, as well as local roads serving local communities. Our projects range from major improvements to complete renewals of roads and structures. With specialist teams, we manage complex works from conception through to handover at the end of maintenance periods.


Key responsibilities:
  • Programming works, commercial performance and the effective utilisation of resources to meet those programmes
  • Support the implementation and monitoring of Health & Safety policies and procedures in accordance with Kier other H&S related policies and procedures
  • Promote cross division working with other members within Local Highways to create a one-team ethos
  • Take full ownership and accountability for profit and loss of your schemes, ensuring robust control of target costs and actual costs incurred
  • Undertake financial forecasts, forecast reviews, final cost & value review with Commercial Team
  • Create a programme to plan and measure the day to day activities

    • Skills and experience required:
  • Hold a Full UK Driving Licence and have industry experience
  • 5 Day - Site Managers Safety Training Scheme (SMSTS) Certificate
  • Team leader with organisational skills
  • Liaise in a professional manner with Client, Client Representatives, General Public and other interested parties
