To work as an integral part of a multi-disciplinary design team producing high quality design work, comprehensive and co-ordinated detailed drawings and specifications which will enable projects to be completed within agreed cost and budget parameters, and running projects on site when required. Assisting senior members of the team as required with project work at all stages of design and construction. Note a BIM/REVIT test forms part of the interview process.


Key responsibilities:


  • Evaluate and advise on environmental, legal and regulatory issues.
  • Contribute to planning applications and other regulatory issues and applications
  • Assessing what surveys are required before work can start and ensuring that they are undertaken and their results fed into the project.
  • Preparing and presenting concept and detailed drawings using CAD methods.
  • Participating in the detailed design process and the production and co ordination of design information.
  • Liaising with appropriate authorities when producing documentation for statutory approval.
  • Contribute to design risk assessments.
  • Administer contracts and visit sites as required.
  • Support local and national bids and sales as appropriate.

  • Qualifications/ experience:


    • Part 1 RIBA Degree (minimum), or Part 2 RIBA, or equivalent relevant experience.
    • Sound design capabilities
    • Good technical background

    • Knowledge of all current regulations
    • Up to date with developments within the design/construction industry
    • Strong Experience of BIM using REVIT level 2/3
    • Ability to work as part of a multi disciplinary team
    • Ability to work to programme and agreed deadlines
    • Use of REVIT and BIM level 2/3 all relevant IT and CAD software packages also including Autocad, Sketchup, Word, Excel.

    Salary circa £30,000
