We at Protocol are working with en large college group at the home of greater learning opportunities in the Slough area ahead of the New Academic year.
This college are seeking an vastly experienced HR professional to join their team on a full-time temporary basis. With the New Academic year heading closer and closer and college processes and academic requests on the rise, this college are seeking a flexible individual to support their department during this busy time.
Role responsibilities
To provide clear, consistent and timely advice to managers relating to recruitment, employee relations issues and terms and conditions.
To research and resolve employee queries in accordance with employment legislation and College policies and procedures.
Advise and assist managers with the whole range of HR and employment related queries on terms and conditions, policies, employee relations issues including casework as directed by the Senior HR Adviser.
Liaise with Manager during a critical enrolment period
Support the implementation and development of HR systems, including data management, training of line managers and employees, and the production of user guides and instruction literature to ensure the best possible use of such systems
Support the processing of flexible working requests
Write and review policies, procedures, How To guides for managers and staff, ensuring that information is relevant and kept up to date.
Undertake projects as directed by the Senior HR Adviser/Head of HR including researching and making recommendations, report and business case writing.
Liaise with all relevant parties in relation the change management and redundancy processes
Liaise with agencies regarding any relevant recruitment requirements the college may have
The person & qualifications
Level 5 CIPD or equivalent demonstrable experience in a HR advisory role
Experience of supporting change management and redundancy processes
Experience of using data and management information to identify trends and areas for action
The ability to work as a member of a team
Experience of HR systems such as Bond and i-Trent
Able to work across sites if required
Proficient in using IT packages such as Microsoft Office and HR systems to produce reports
