Location: Liverpool
The role is on a full time basis and involves working closely with both private and public sector clients, professional colleagues and other disciplines within Kier, in order to deliver a high quality and timely end product both as a team and as a part of the multi-disciplinary design offering.
The role will support the Electrical team lead on the management of all works delivered through the Electrical team based in Liverpool, managing all aspects of Building Services engineering, working together with the Principal Mechanical Engineer and Regional Lead to ensure coordinated solutions for all allocated works, which include; major and minor new builds, refurbishments and minor works.
Ensure quality output is delivered and team development is maintained, including;
You will play an active part in business Development, including production of fees and Quality responses to support bid submissions, preparation of presentation materials, attendance at interviews and Client meetings. You will bring new business to the Service Line, developing new clients and winning work opportunities.
Key responsibilities
· Participate in project design meetings, establishing solutions, agreeing concepts, working closely with colleagues and other design team members
· Ensure delivery of co-ordinated design solutions to the end of projects.
· Provide budget costs and pre-tender estimates as required.
· Conduct regular team meetings.
· Take an active role in developing standards and best practice to share with colleagues across the Professional Excellence Teams in the Property business
· Develop innovative solutions and proposals to enhance the M&E service, and implement agreed initiatives such as BIM.
· Apply Company Health & Safety Policies
· Apply Company systems including QMS, IIP, EMS
· Develop team capability, manage team engagement, and actively participate in delivery of the Performance Agreement policy
Qualifications:
Essential
· Chartered Engineer, HND/Degree in Electrical Building Services Engineering or Electrical Engineering plus significant experience demonstrating appropriate ability to fulfil the accountabilities of the role
· Member of CIBSE or IET
Preferred
· Fellow of CIBSE or IET plus substantial experience demonstrating appropriate ability to fulfil the accountabilities of the role
