Reporting to: Board of Directors

Basic Salary: Up to £80,000 + Bonuses + Benefits Package

The Role:

This role will be working for a well-established lift engineering company. The task is to lead the delivery of trophy site new construction projects. You will effectively manage a team of Senior Project Managers to deliver projects on time and on budget.

This role has a National coverage but you will not be required to cover the London projects.

Responsibilities:

    Major Projects will be on a large scale, multiple assets and location projects all over a value of £1m.

    Leading a team of site-based staff to deliver large, complex and high-value new equipment Major Projects around the UK (excluding London)

    Each project will have its own Profit and Loss and cost centre and the successful candidate will have the capability to handle larger projects of this type independently.

    Responsible for managing multiple projects in excess of £20m projects

The Successful Candidate:

    The ideal candidate will have worked as a lift or escalator engineer or had involvement with lifting projects whilst working for a construction company. This candidate will have then worked their way up through management tiers either project management or operational roles to manage teams of other project managers on sizeable/multi-million-pound projects.

    A proven track record in either the lift and escalator engineering industry or construction industry delivering high-value technical projects within the Lift or Construction industry.

    Experience managing the strategic aspects of large projects including all reporting and forecasting and working closely with the project teams to mitigate any risk.

    Defining project objectives, and ensuring these are achieved

    Undertaking effective day to day management of the project and ensuring that the project runs to time and budget by taking P&L responsibility

    Delivering operational performance excellence, customer satisfaction, engineering support and improved profitability.
