Kier Services Maintenance East is looking to recruit a Construction Manager. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the construction phase of schemes designed within the contract and constructed by the external supply chain.

Your responsibilities:
  • Developing a schemes works programme Ensure all weekly and monthly reporting requirements are met by the site management teams and communicated to the relevant Managers
  • Ensure that key business targets and KPIs are met and wherever possible exceeded. Also any potential problems are identified at an early stage and plans initiated to mitigate risk
  • All duties and responsibilities should be carried out in accordance with agreed Kier policies and procedures, having regard to Kier commitments to efficient service provision, promotion of equal opportunities, a health and safety culture, a customer focussed approach and good employee relations
  • Provide detailed construction guidance to the Pre-Construction team, including buildability matters, prelim and programme requirements, attendance at site visits/bidders days
  • Ownership of department KPI targets including reporting and compliance with contractual targets
  • Provide regular information on the progress of schemes and performance of subcontractors.

    • Key Skills and Qualifications:
  • Holder of a Full UK Drivers Licence
  • Holds the relevant qualifications: HNC/HND or Degree (Construction related).
  • Previous experience in a similar role
  • High level of knowledge and proven experience in the delivery of projects
  • High level of ability, advanced knowledge and competence
