Working in partnership with Virgin media since 2002 Kier Utilities have been responsible for bringing 445,000 connections and 100,000,000m fibre networks every year to customers throughout the UK.

We are currently recruiting for a Principle Technician to join or well established consumer team in Sutton. As Principle Technician you will be responsible for managing customer relationships and dealing with any escalated complaints and faults in a timely manner in regards to the install and repair of Virgin Media products and basic Network elements as required, in accordance with the Company SOP's and all other technical requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure that you set the standard in completing all necessary Compliance documentation is adhered to; e.g. HR, Safety, Quality, Vehicle audits etc,
  • Operate in a manner that supports the team hitting its targets within the parameters of the agreed service level agreement and KPIs.
  • Carry out all installation tasks as directed by the Installations Manager
  • To champion the use of the following test equipment: Signal Level Meter, 9083 Meter, Tone Tester & provide support/training as required to fellow team members.
  • Support initiative across the team in delivering improved performance
  • Complete a level of Audits as required and directed by your line Manager.

Skills and experience required:
  • Previous experience within a similar role, ideally within telecommunication installations
  • Knowledge of Health & Safety legislation and NRSWA requirements,
  • Full UK Driving Licence
  • The ability to be able to coach and observe others in order to identify training or behavioural issues that can be developed.
