THE COMPANY
An innovative, forward thinking Special Purpose Machinery manufacturer at the forefront of machinery design, build and integration is seeking a Mechanical Fitter to join their well established team right here in Leicester.
For over a decade this business has been providing automated machinery into the aerospace, automotive, nuclear and pharmaceutical industry, enabling its clients to drive down costs, enhance production rates and improve existing processes.
They have a 5-star glassdoor review and what I love about them is that nearly every machine that they make is completely bespoke!
THE ROLE
As a Mechanical Fitter, you will be responsible for the complete and entire build of these Special Purpose Machines. Your role looks like this;

This will involve working form a detailed GA (general assembly) drawing
Collecting all parts required
Building sub-assemblies
Final build ready and handover to your electrical counter-parts for wiring etc.
On occasion, you will escape the workshop and travel to a customer's site which could be in the UK or Europe, to install what you have created!
This happens a few times a year and offers you great learning potential and HUGE job satisfaction seeing your creation go to work!
THE CANDIDATE

Commutable or happy to relocate to Leicester
Possess a background as a Mechanical Fitter, building complex automated machinery
Automated machinery build experience
Happy to travel to a customer's site once or twice a year for installation
