We are working with a new incorporated Further Education College to recruit for an Engineering Lecturer.

The college trains learners from the age of 18 in Higher Apprenticeships and higher education programmes. The college's vision is to set new standards for collaboration and diversity in what will be major growth in the UK. The college are able to offer the successful candidate a unique opportunity to work with a growing and evolving college. With campuses based in Birmingham and Doncaster, this role will be based in Birmingham.

We are looking for successful Engineering Lecturers to deliver education and training to learners specialising in, or studying modules across the curriculum, which includes Systems Engineering, CCC, Civil Engineering, Power, Rolling Stock and Track Engineering.

Role responsibilities
To prepare teaching and learning to meet industry standards
To teach engineering at various levels
To provide advice and guidance
To produce learning resources
To participate in curriculum development
To act as a personal tutor to learners


The person & qualifications
Hold a teaching qualification or be willing to undertake one
Previous teaching experience
General knowledge of the rail industry
Have an understanding of Systems Engineering processes and technologies including signalling and telecommunications
