Title - Train Electrician

Location - Leeds

Shifts - Continental shift - 0700 - 1900

Salary - £31,500 basic and after 6 months service your basic will rise to £36,000

Package - x10 training modules to complete worth £1,500 each in bonuses + overtime + pension + holidays

They specialise in providing specialist logistic solutions for over 3000 customers. They specialise in intermodal and containerised distribution via road fleet and a railway network which spreads across the entire length of the UK.

The Role

As the Train Electrician, you will be responsible for supporting your mechanical counter-parts by;

  • 70% of your role will be mechanical in nature, however its your electrical skills that is really important for this role

  • You will carry out electrical fault finding and rectification to the trains motors, wiring and various panels etc

  • Install, maintain and repair electrical wiring and motors

  • Uphold H&S on site

The Candidate

To be successful in your application for the role of Train Electrician, you will need to be;

  • Commutable to or based in Leeds

  • Possess an NVQ level 3 qualification in either mechanical engineering or electrical engineering

  • Proven track record and background in carrying out electrical fault finding on 3 phase systems

The Candidate

  • I am looking for someone who is based in or commutable for Leeds

  • NVQ level 3 electrical / electronic engineering

  • Must be highly competent at 3 phase electrical fault finding

  • You can have any industrial background - food, packaging, automation etc. Having a background in HGV's, Locomotives or Yellow Goods is a bonus.
