Location - Cornwall

Salary - Circa. £50,000

Kier Utilities is a leading utility service provider with much of our work delivered within long-term Alliance and framework contracts. Kier work as part of a framework with Western Power Distribution to ensure its customers have power in their homes, businesses, schools and hospitals. We are an essential member of the team mainly working on reactive and planned maintenance.

We're looking for an Area Operations Manager to cover the Cornwall region, your key responsibility will be to oversee the direction and management of operational business streams, ensuring good profitability and the delivery of business plans in a timely and efficient manner. The successful candidate will have overall responsibility for operational delivery, commercial performance and HSE compliance for the area.

What do we need from you?

Reporting directly to the Senior Operations manager, you'll need to have a full UK driving license, Management qualification at NVQ, CITB, SMSTS/SSSTS or IOSH equivalent. Experience of people and time management is essential, along with report writing, and experience in a similar role.

Experience of working on a 24/7 R&M Utilities contract and experience of working on the WPD excavation, Cable laying and reinstatement is highly desirable.
