Our client has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) and Planning Project Manager to join their growing Environment Team and work alongside Engineers, Scientists, Planners and Other Staff in developing some of the most exciting infrastructure projects in Ireland, particularly in the water, energy and transport sectors.

Senior EIA and Planning Project Manager Role:

  • Co-ordinate multi-disciplinary teams and sub-consultants;

  • Prepare and check consent application documentation and supporting assessments including, e.g. EIARs, AAs, NISs, FRAs;

  • Work as part of, and support, cross disciplinary teams working on large -scale infrastructure projects through feasibility, preliminary design, statutory consent and construction stages;

  • Provide leadership in statutory consent applications for large scale infrastructure (e.g. SID) and conventional planning applications, mainly in the transport, water and power generation and transmission sectors;

  • Coordinate and mentor junior staff;

  • Commercial and programme management of large -scale and complex projects;

  • Client relationship management;

  • Business development.

Senior EIA and Planning Project Manager Requirements:

  • Hold a qualification in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, or Town/Land-Use Planning;

  • Hold Chartered Status and membership of a relevant professional organisation (IPI, MIEEM, MIEMA, MRUP, CIWEM, Engineers Ireland);

  • Strong knowledge of consenting legislation, environmental policy and practice as it relates to the delivery of infrastructure projects in the power generation and transmission, water, buildings or transport sectors in Ireland;

  • Have excellent report writing skills, with the ability to integrate into the existing team, and work alongside colleagues across disciplines;

  • Have good commercial acumen and effective client facing skills;

  • Have effective business winning/client relationship skills;

  • Have good mentoring skills to supervise and assist junior team members;

  • Have excellent presentation and communication skills with a strong 'can do' attitude;

  • Full driving licence essential.
