To provide professional teaching, learning and assessment support to students in line with awarding and funding body requirements

Key Responsibilities:
Key Responsibilities:*Providing classroom and workshop based teaching in line with diploma requirements for level 2 plumbing students
*Taking responsibility for management and achievement of a caseload of Apprenticeship learners at level 2
*Visiting students in their places of work, providing assessments against awarding body standards
*Providing support to Apprentices with the development of a portfolio of evidence
*Undertaking observations, professional discussions, guidance and support and other methods of effective learning and evidence gathering, to encourage timely progress for apprentices
*Conducting thorough and effective learner reviews in accordance with funding body requirements
*Maintenance and timely completion of all documentation required for funding and qualification achievement purposes
*Contributing to a safe and healthy working environment
*Work with line manager to manage own performance to support the achievement of the company's Key Performance Indicators.
*To undertake assessments of competence in accordance with Awarding Organisation requirements.
*Maintain own caseload of learners and take part in local marketing initiatives to recruit new learners.
*To complete the relevant Assessor Qualification within 6 months of joining the company, if not already qualified.
*To achieve own Functional Skills qualification within 6 months of joining the company, if not already qualified.
*Comply with company quality procedures.
*Undertake and record relevant CPD including standardisation activities and sector updates to maintain competence and enable effective delivery.


SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
*Effective organisational skills (self and workload)
*Extensive knowledge of own subject area
*Effective verbal and written communication skills
*Proficiency with standard IT applications associated with the role
*Experience of working with people in a learning environment
*A full, valid driving licence and access to a car/van
*A minimum of 3-5 years relevant experience in the plumbing and/or gas sectors


Education/Training/ QualificationsESSENTIAL:
*A minimum of level 2 subject specialist qualification (plumbing) or higher if necessary to teach the subject area at the required level
*A1 or equivalent assessor award
*3-5 years industry experience
DESIRABLE:
*Recognised teaching qualification
*V1 Internal Verifier's award (or equivalent)
*CCN1/Gas Safe Registration
