Our client has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Project Manager (Buildings) and to lead a technical team and act as the key client interface to project sponsors, clients and key stakeholders.

The Process and Building Services team in Cork provide professional services to clients in Ireland, UK and further afield. The project work undertaken is diverse and covers multiple sectors including food & dairy, transportation and building services.
You will provide technical and project management/supervision for large building projects, particularly in the pharma/nutritionals/food sectors.

Senior Project Manager (Buildings) Job Description:

  • The successful candidate will lead a technical team and act as the key client interface to project sponsors, clients and key stakeholders.

  • You will provide technical and project management/supervision for large building projects, particularly in the pharma/nutritionals/food sectors.

  • You will actively engage with multi-disciplinary teams on all project stages from preliminary design to construction, commissioning and handover to the client.

  • As well as having responsibility for the performance of support team (remote working) you will also be required to coordinate and mentor junior staff.

Senior Project Manager (Buildings) Requirements:

  • A level 8 qualification in Civil/Mechanical/Process Engineering;

  • Hold Chartered Status and membership of a relevant professional organisation;

  • Strong knowledge of the design and planning of built environment projects, particularly in the Pharma/Nutritionals/Food sector;

  • Demonstrated project management ability to run a large industrial project as the main point of client contact;

  • Be external facing providing technical and project management advice with business development responsibilities;

  • Responsible for the commercial success of the projects that you manage.

Ideally candidates will also possess the following competencies:

  • Understanding of all engineering disciplines;

  • Have good commercial acumen and effective client facing skills;

  • Have good mentoring skills to supervise and assist junior team members;

  • Have excellent report writing, presentation and communication skills with a strong 'can do' attitude;

  • Full driving licence essential.
