Protocol are working with a fantastic East Midlands based college to recruit an experienced Construction and Built Environment Assessor. As one of the largest further education providers in the country, this college offers a huge range of vocational and academic courses, helping their students find routes into higher education or their dream career. This education powerhouse is looking to bolster its Construction department to recruit a 0.6FTE Assessor until July 2020. This college offers state of the art facilities accompanied with professional educators which comes highly recommended by CITB.

Although times may seem uncertain at present it certainly isn't for this college and their recruitment for this position. We are keen to hear from candidates who available for when face-to-face teaching ensues with the added possibility of remote-teaching in the interim. The successful candidates therefore must be well-versed in online teaching platforms or possess a willingness to learn. We can support with understanding of online teaching platforms.

Role responsibilities
Teaching and assessment of the Construction and the Built Environment and Construction apprentices for your allocated caseload
Teaching and assessing for 37 hours per week
Travelling when required
Motivating students to excel in their subject area
Completion of online assessments using the colleges e-portfolio system
Carrying out assessment using a variety of different methods as part of the delivery of Apprenticeship qualifications
Adhere to college policies including Equality and Diversity and Safeguarding
Completion of all administration tasks as an when required
Supporting students both pastorally and academically
The person & qualifications
Hold a recognised Assessing qualification
Have a minimum of a L4 in Construction and the Built Environment or Civil Engineering
Must be enthusiastic and inspiring to learners
Proven experience of assessing and managing a caseload of apprentices
Must have an enhanced DBS on the update service or within 12 months (or be willing to apply for one)
