Protocol are working with an Ofsted Grade 1 training provider based in West Cumbria and is part of the City & Guilds group. They provide a diverse range of employer-led training, including degree apprenticeships, accredited degree courses and postgraduate programmes. The company has established strong partnerships with academia including the University of Manchester and University of Cumbria.



Main purpose of the job:

Due to expanding training business, they are seeking to appoint a Lecturer in Electrical & Electronic Engineering. The position would suit a highly-motivated individual with a keen interest in the development and delivery of innovative and effective training programmes with a strong vocational element.



Main duties & responsibilities:

The successful candidate will contribute to teaching, project supervision, and curriculum development in the fields of electrical or electronic engineering.

Teaching duties will extend from Level 3 (Bridging programme) to Level 6 Bachelor of Engineering with Honours.



Essential Skills & Qualifications

This role will require the following core competencies:

A minimum of BEng Hons at Class 2.1 in Electrical or Electronic Engineering or a relevant engineering or science discipline.


Desirable Skills & Qualifications

A postgraduate qualification in a relevant discipline; PgCert Ed or equivalent.
Experience in the application of electrical or electronic engineering in an industrial, research or academic environment; knowledge of the civil nuclear industry.
For less experienced candidates, they will consider appointment at a reduced salary with the expectation that the individual will undertake appropriate training and professional development, including working towards a recognised teaching qualification.
