Our client is looking to recruit a Technical Estimator on a permanent basis to their expanding team.
Technical Estimator: Main roles & responsibilities
Working in the projects team, producing quotations and offering technical assistance on Photovoltaic Systems, (solar panels) Green and Blue Roofs, Rooflights, Edge Protection Systems, and Bespoke Fabrications.
* Producing CAD drawing, interpreting technical drawings and producing accurate customer quotes to a high standard in a timely manner.
* Producing calculations using PV*Sol software.
* Supporting the sales team as a point of contact regarding quotes and able to offer technical assistance.
* Entering customer information into CRM system to ensure customer database is kept up to date.
* Communicating with suppliers, raising purchase orders ensuring stock is available for orders.
* Developing good working relationships with colleagues and working well as part of an expanding team.
* Be able to step in for the Projects Manager if and when required.
Personal Profile:
* Experience in construction, specifically within the Photovoltaics or Renewable Energy disciplines.
* Effective communication skills and experience dealing with external contacts by telephone and email.
* High level numeracy skills & strong IT skillset i.e. use of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel involving complex formulas
* Good organisational skills, ability to manage own workload and prioritise tasks to suit the ever-changing needs of the business.
* Self-starter with a positive attitude and good work ethic. Someone who is capable of working on their own initiative but are also able to follow instruction as and when requested.
* Ideally holding BS:7671 18th Edition qualification and CSCS Card.
* AutoCAD knowledge & experience is essential.
