Protocol are working with a leading FE College based in the West London area. It is a very well-established College graded as "Outstanding" by Ofsted. The College's students are at the heart of what they do, and their priority is to prepare all their learners for the future. Last year over 800 students from the A-Level and Vocational Courses went on to study at top universities.

Our client currently has an exciting opportunity to join them on a temporary basis as a Fashion and Textiles Lecturer starting in September 2020.

Role responsibilities
Planning and delivering Fashion and Textiles courses at level 2 and 3
Teaching 18 hours per week
Motivating students to excel in their subject area
Delivering engaging lessons
Completing all planning and preparation for lessons
Adhering to college policies including Equality and Diversity and Safeguarding
The person & qualifications
You must have a recognised teaching qualification
Fashion & Textiles specialism to include. Pattern cutting, knowledge of adobe suite - Photoshop & illustrator - CAD Design Mixed media textiles techniques Drawing & Iterative design Knowledge of industry standard specialist equipment including: domestic & industrial sewing machines)
Subject specific knowledge of contextual awareness & critical thinking
Knowledge of UAL Quals, teaching, planning & Assessment Teaching on L2 & L3 courses
Hold a teaching qualification
Have a minimum of a L3 in a relevant subject / degree
Recent experience of teaching Fashion and Textiles
Must be enthusiastic and inspiring to learner
