This company is a market leader in the supply of new and new equipment found within redundant power plants. They also undertake small EPC contracts which is a new focus to the business. They are currently executing a project in north London, involving the design, supply, erection & commissioning of an 8.3 MW condensing steam turbine-generator set. This project requires 4 Mechanical Technicians to join the project in September….

The Role of Mechanical Fitter

10 - 12 hour days
Steel work
Rotating equipment
Alignment works
Installation of large equipment
Team working
Reading technical drawings
Use of basic hand tools
Using air tools
The Right Mechanical Fitter
-
Mechanical apprenticeship/ time served
C&G engineering qualifications
Experience of power industry installations
Can commit to entire shutdown period
Heavy Engineering experience
Familiar with technical drawings
Can work well in a team
ESSENTIAL has experience with rotating equipment
ESSENTIAL Steam Turbine experience
