Identify and develop apprenticeship opportunities with employers in relevant sectors as these areas develop in the university. * Coordinate the apprenticeship journey from recruitment to timely completion. * Take overall responsibility for the maintenance, monitoring and development of the successful partnership with employers, apprentices and the University * Lead on the recruitment of students to the academy for full and part time courses and apprenticeships * Participate in all internal and external quality assurance processes including the work based assessors. * Provide reports and data as required by the Senior Management * Manage and oversee the apprenticeship administrator in their duties and responsibilities * Support academic staff involved in the delivery of apprenticeships in the Academy. Key areas of responsibility Recruitment and engagement Recruit students to the provision by engaging with employers, schools, academies, local education and business organisations and to promote the courses provided by the University. Provide information and guidance to students, parents, career advisors and employers on career opportunities in the relevant industries. Attend internal and external events, such as Careers Fairs, Recruitment/Employment Fairs, Conferences, open days and other activities deemed appropriate. Support and engage with the university wide higher skills agenda including the promotion of higher and degree apprenticeships.
