We re working exclusively with a new innovative business locatd in the South East who seek an experienced Timber Frame Designer. This relatively new company has already received a number of enquiries and orders, and has the capacity to produce 4-500 units per year in its factory based in Hampshire.
As the sole Timber Frame Designer, reporting to the Managing Director, you will be involved at all stages of the project, including the commercial/pricing aspects. This is a new business and you will be the sole Designer; therefore, this is the chance to set up the way you want it, and your creative skills will be particularly appreciated as you are involved in looking at new innovations in design.
We would be very interested to hear from any experienced Timber Frame Designers who have:
- Strong experience in the timber frame sector, able to work unsupervised
- Good evidence of working proactively, using initiative and creativity
- Excellent interpersonal skills, able to communicate effectively with your clients, as well as Architects, Engineers and your colleagues within the business
- Commercial awareness to raise quotations and price effectively
This is a great and rare opportunity to work with a new business (although run by a highly experienced team with an excellent pedigree in offsite construction.
