Protocol is delighted to be working with an education provider in East London/Essex in the recruitment to the position of Facilities Manager.

The post-holder will provide leadership, guidance and strategic direction in the provision of the site and facilities.

Reporting to the Finance Director, you will be responsible for the direct line management of the site and cleaning services teams, and for the leadership and guidance of relevant support staff.



The person & qualifications
Trade and or Building qualifications - e.g. CIOB, CITB, City & Guilds
A relevant Facilities Management qualification
A relevant Health and Safety qualification (NEBOSH, IOSH etc)
Strong leadership and management skills and a proven track record of leading a large team (ideally within the Education sector)
Direct experience of complex trouble shooting and identifying areas for improvement and implementing
Demonstrate strong communication skills and the ability to build relationships with key stakeholders at all levels
Tendering and contract negotiations
Effectively manage staff across multiple sites and locations
Development of rolling capital programmes
