Operations and Maintenance Service Technician
Salary dependent on experience, 25 days annual leave, pension, healthcare, life cover and vehicle
Location: Bristol / Swindon Area & Suffolk /Cambridgeshire

Service technicians are responsible for the day to day on site activities for the sites that are assigned to them, working closely with their regional support team and other stakeholders to deliver the O&M services safely, and effectively in line with expectations to ensure operational solar PV and battery storage plants achieve their required performance, availability and safety objectives.
Duties:
Duties cover planned and reactive maintenance, fault diagnosis and resolution, and reporting. This is a permanent role and will require availability for weekend on-call Rota duties.
- Planned preventative maintenance of electrical, auxiliary, communications, mechanical, structural and security systems
- Reactive maintenance interventions and fault diagnosis of electrical, auxiliary, communications, mechanical, structural and security systems
- Inspections, information gathering and records keeping
- Completion of events log management system tickets, work reports, timesheets stock control information
- Working in accordance with BSR site Access and security control procedures and policies
- H&S policy and SSOW adherence and supporting the further development of the systems
- Adherence to and supporting the further development of the BSR Quality Management System
- Supervision and site inductions of sub-contractors, suppliers and visitors to sites
- Participation in Self-lead and classroom based training
- Travel on occasion to other regional areas or sites as required for the fulfillment of O&M contract duties
Experience and qualifications:
- 3 years technical experience as a qualified electrician (18th edition) or electrical engineer
- Inspection and maintenance experience and qualifications (C&G 2391 or 2394/5)
- Solar PV installation and maintenance experience (including systems over 50kWp and G59/3) and qualifications (C&G 2372 or C&G 2399)
- Experience and training with central PV inverters is highly desirable (i.e. SMA, Power Electronics, Gamesa, Ingeteam, Sungrow)
- Experience and training with HV switchgear and systems is highly desirable
- Health and Safety awareness (e.g. ECS and/or SSSTS) including valid first aid ticket
- Self-driven with experience of working remotely without close supervision
- Attention to detail and can-do attitude
- Technical knowledge - can problem solve quickly and express solutions verbally and on paper
- Action focused - Can quickly find common ground and solve problems for the good of all and is seen as a team player and is co-operative
- Composure - does not become defensive or irritated when times are tough and is a settling influence in a crisis
- Enthusiasm for continuing development and learning
- Clean Driving License
