We are looking for a Trainer & Assessor to join Van Elle’s first-class Training & Assessment Services team We pride ourselves in delivering excellent training within the construction, civils, and rail sectors, using the skills, knowledge and pedigree of our in-house trainers and assessors. We are actively seeking a competent, quality trainer, with relevant hands-on industry experience. What you'll be doing • The trainer and assessor will deliver a combination of training, testing and vocational qualifications at both the training centre and on site. • Deliver CPCS/NPORS training/testing in line with specification and assessment criteria, both theoretical and practical to new and existing operators • Ensure the correct and timely submission of CPCS/NPORS paperwork and certification processes • Carry out regular observation checks with operators • Ensure equipment is serviceable and maintained • Oversee health and safety matters where required • Develop risk assessments for all plant operations • Support the center manager with compliance of Awarding Bodies and audits as required • Support the development of training packages where required Who we're looking for(person specification) Qualifications: • CPCS (NOCN) Trainer/Tester • NPORS Trainer/Tester • Vocational Qualification assessor • Keen to continue to develop as full training and upskilling of qualifications if required will be given to the successful applicant. Skills and Knowledge • You must have excellent knowledge of health and safety in the construction plant sector • Skilled in multiple plant categories as trainer and tester. • Have a thorough knowledge of the training schemes, awarding bodies & health and safety in the construction industry and construction plant sector. • Previous experience of classroom-based delivery training within Slinger Signaller, Concrete Pump, Dumper, Excavator, Lifting Equipment, Lorry Loader, and preferably Piling Rigs. • Be able to demonstrate practical experience from construction or similar transferrable skills • Ability to work independently and as part of a team • Strong interpersonal skills: demonstrating the ability to work with people at all levels in a professional and friendly manner. • Organisational skills: with a clear ability to plan and organise your own workload. • IT Skills: ability to work with different systems, from Microsoft Office, Outlook and PowerPoint • Knowledge of the relevant legal and safety regulations Other Requirements: • Eligible to work and live in the UK. • Flexibility to travel through out the UK. • A full driving licence, that is valid in the UK. • Medical clearance What you’ll get in return • Competitive salary and benefits depending on experience. • Hours of work are typically 40 per week Monday to Friday, however flexibility is required. • 25 days holiday plus bank/public holidays. • Permanent position, working within a high-class training delivery team.
