The ideal Highways Supervisor will provide effective planning, programming & delivery of programme of works, along with detailed accounts of company achievements and Contractual KPI's. An important part of the role will be to ensure change controls are diligently managed on site.

Show achievement of, and year-on-year improvement of contract/scheme KPI's, undertake safety site inspections of all works.

Effectively manage site teams to ensure career progression and competency is achieved, work collaboratively with Kier Health, Safety & Wellbeing advisor to promote best practice across the contract.

Check that all health and safety standards are being adhered to across the contract - 5 SHE Basics - 10 steps to safe excavation - SSOW/RA/POWRA.

Ensure training qualifications and competence requirements are in place and monitored for all employees within their team, collaborate with all supply-chain to improve Health and Safety.

What do we need from you to be successful in this role?

  • A certificate in Site Safety Management (attended 5-day course - SMSTS / SSSTS)
  • Experience in construction and all highways works
  • Experience in Highways Maintenance at a supervisory level
  • A valid UK driving licence
  • NRSWA Supervisor card
  • Knowledge of Fleet Management
  • Knowledge of O Licence compliance
  • LGV licence and City and Guilds 6159
  • Winter maintenance service
  • Excel/PC literate
