Kier Highways are currently recruiting for a Social Value Co-ordinator to help drive all elements of Social Value across the Highways business. The successful candidate will support the Highways team to achieve their commitments for social value at a regional level as well as helping to produce industry leading cross business initiatives. The role will involve Regional and National travel as required and therefore a full valid driving licence is necessary.
Key responsibilities include:
- Assist design and co-ordinate cross highways social value initiatives
- Liaise with Kier group Social Value team, D&I Manager and Diversity Coordinating social value activities across the region
- Support the delivery of the Highways Social Value Performance Excellence plan and the One Planet action Plan Social Sustainability Principles
- Build collaborative relationships with internal stakeholders
- Work with external community-based organisation to build partnerships to help deliver our commitments at a regional level
- Liaise with the communications team to promote activities internally and externally
- Support the work of the Kier Foundation
- Assisting in the delivery of the ED&I strategy and inclusion action plan
- Produce case studies on social value activities
- Work collaboratively to share best practice across the business, supply chain and clients
- Attend and coordinate events as required
- Previous experience of delivering and driving social value
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Ability to collaborate with and build relationships with a range of stakeholders both internal and externally
- Work on own initiative, be proactive and highly organised
- High standard of accuracy and attention to detail
- Ability to work to deadlines and under pressure whilst remaining calm and focused
- Experience of project management
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Knowledge of SharePoint
- Passion for delivering social value in the communities where we work
