Role overview

Breedon are seeking a Drill Rig Operator to join their team at the Penrhyn Quarry in Bethesda, North Wales.

Reporting to the Quarry Manager you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the drill rig, keeping to the planned drilling schedule. You will also be responsible for providing daily reports of drilling operation efficiencies.

You may also be asked to carry out several other duties within your capabilities and there will also be opportunities to be trained on other mobile plant.

You will possess the following skills, qualities and experience:

  • Be able to work unsupervised, pay attention to detail, and prepared to fill out reports on operational efficiency on a daily basis
  • Be flexible in terms of working hours, which may need to be changed at short notice to suit operational needs - this may include shift work
  • Previous drilling experience would be an advantage, but is not a necessity as full training will be given to the right candidate
