We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join the team. The main purpose of this role is to provide commercial management for an allocated programme area of an embedded alliance contract. Managing a small team of commercial professionals, you will be accountable to the Senior Quantity Surveyor.
Key Responsibilities
As a Quantity Surveyor you will be responsible for the commercial management of the allocated programme area, fostering close working relationships with all key stakeholders, adhere to the embedded alliance internal governance to satisfy contractual and legal requirements, provide transparent, accurate and timely commercial reporting and line management of direct reports, as well as to identify, report and proactively manage financial and commercial risk and deliver commercial process efficiencies.
You will also be responsible for engendering a culture of commercial challenge, controlling costs, maximise value and minimise future liabilities. You will demonstrate the highest levels of commercial integrity and financial self-assurance and constantly strive to employ best commercial management practices and communicate effectively with stakeholders and manage and mitigate commercial disputes.
What do we need from you?
You will have excellent commercial acumen and a willingness to travel. You will have a good understanding of NEC3 forms of contract and a thorough understanding of relevant construction and contract law. Due to travel requirements you will need to have a full UK driving licence.
Ideally you will have experience working in a complex matrix team environment and have the relevant qualifications, such as RICS, CIOB, ICE, and a degree in construction or commercial management.
