Kier Places are recruiting for an experienced Senior Estimator to join our Facilities Management (FM) business. Kier Places is a newly created trading name which incorporates our Housing Maintenance and Facilities Management businesses; with a refreshed strategy and focus on growth this is an exciting time the join the company. The role will have a focus on public sector clients, encompassing both Hard FM and TFM opportunities. You will as a key part of a small bid team to drive sustainable growth in the business and secure long-term contracts. This is a superb opportunity to reinvigorate our FM revenue stream and drive growth and development of the bid team.
Key Responsibilities
This Senior Estimator role will be focused on pricing and winning new tenders and existing framework opportunities for the business. You will be responsible for all elements of the pricing for bids, from modelling the costs and assessing the margins, through to completing bid pricing documents and possibly client presentations. This will require you to manage robust and long-term relationships with subcontractors and internal teams. You will need to assist with the production of tender documents, attend pre-tender and post tender interviews and provide data as requested.
You will be required to own the updating of bid models and parameters, undertaking site visits, modeling prelims, engaging with the supply chain to price subcontracted items, model in-house labour productivity, completing pricing returns and carry out commercial assessments, as well as much more to provide accurate estimates for our bids.
What do we need from you?
Previous experience bidding FM jobs is essential, with a proven track record of analytical estimating and working to tight timescales. Ideally you will be degree qualified and having knowledge of SFG20 and CCS framework will be a particular advantage.
