The Senior Quantity Surveyor will be required to commercially manage highways capital schemes including carriageway surfacing, street lighting and structures, as well as assist on management of maintenance works.You will establish and maintain sustainable relationships with both the supply chain and the client. It will involve implementing procedures to quantify, cost and value the works, including the use of appropriate standard methods of measurement. You will Liaise with operational staff to ensure site records are kept to the standard required.

Great written skills will be important as you will be required to produce detailed monthly reports and Cost Value Reconciliation's (CVR) as required by the business unit or project, including detailed schedules of Subcontractor 'liabilities, along with producing and issuing all commercial notices, to both the client and subcontractors, as required by the form of contract. You will manage change in a timely manner in accordance with the form of contract, including the production and submission of compensation event quotations

What?are we looking for?

  • Qualified to HNC/HND, BSc Degree in Quantity Surveying or Construction, or similar in Quantity Surveying/Construction
  • Previously worked on highways contracts/projects - Desirable
  • Knowledge of NEC4/NEC3 - Desirable
  • Member of/working towards RICS - Desirable
