Kier Build Central is looking for an experienced Bid Manager to join a hugely talented Pre-Construction team.? You will bring with you a plentiful experience from a Design, Commercial, Planning or Operations discipline and knowledge of the bid management process from within a main contractor background.?We are looking for a 'hands-on' role and the Bid Manager will be an integral part of the team and bid production.
As a Bid Manager, you will work within the bid team and ensure clients are provided with properly constructed commercial and technical submissions to an industry leading standard. This will involve you chairing bid meetings and briefing the team, liaising closely with the client team as well as our internal subject matter experts and ensuring bids are completed on time complying with Kier's policies.
Job responsibilities?
You will have overall management of the bid, ensuring compliance with internal governance and developing a winning strategy prior to tender, of which is concise, and understood by the wider team. While working closely with the Submissions Manager, you will offer high quality responses to the bid questions, as well as having a thorough understanding of the client's key drivers; through research and early engagement with the clients team and stakeholders. You will also lead the project management of the 2nd stage process to ensure client satisfaction, delivery on budget and programme, with the profit plan secured.
What?do?we need from you?? ??
We are looking for candidates with extensive experience in Bid Strategy, with excellent communication and negotiation skills. You will have good project management skills as well as a thorough understanding of risk analysis. We are also looking for candidates who hold a relevant construction related qualification (Degree, HNC or similar)
