Key Responsibilities
The Resource Manager, reporting into the Construction Manager, will be responsible for successful delivery of projects that have been designed and priced through management of a direct and sub-contracted workforce. The role will require the Resource Manager to deliver these by complying with Kier and IOS governance and processes specifically; Project Management, Health & Safety and Commercial. The candidate will be responsible for the management and co-ordination of site teams and sub contract labour. You will ensure (in conjunction with the Construction Manager, Operations Manager and Project Delivery Managers) the delivery of projects:- on time and predictably - embedding sustainability principles safely and without detriment to the anyone's health - efficiently to the IOS Delivery Process and within Governance - using techniques to minimise the effect on our environment.
What are we looking for?
- Experience of managing operational resources in a construction environment
- Water Industry construction experience
- NEBOSH qualified (Certificate) or equivalent qualification
- Alliancing experience
- Minimum HNC or equivalent qualification / experience essential in construction activities.
- Experienced in acting as Principal Contractor under CDM regulations
