Kier Professional Services (KPS) are an exclusive in-house resource, providing readily available expert advice to support understanding and resolution of technical project issues in temporary and permanent works. KPS are able to quickly mobilise resources to support project delivery and consistently deliver a dependable design service for buildability and safety.

We are currently recruiting for a Design Engineer to contribute to the delivery of a broad range of complex Civil and Structural related services in both temporary and permanent works.

Key Responsibilities

In this exciting role, you'll contribute towards Permanent Works designs for buildings, highways and infrastructure. You'll ensure Temporary Works designs are integrated with Permanent Works and produce BIM models to support tender schemes. You'll also provide design management advice to support bid winning on projects for multi-disciplinary teams. As part of your role, you'll be tasked with providing technical assessment of 3rd party designs and providing both engineering expertise and technical support to support engineering excellence and resolve technical project, construction and design issues to facilitate the highest of technical standards.

What are we looking for?

Ideally, you'll have 5 years Design Engineering experience and be actively working towards membership of a relevant professional institution such as IPD for EngTech MICE or IEng MICE and demonstrable post-graduate experience. You'll also have a valid CSCS card and have a design focused approach. This is a perfect opportunity for someone to get professionally qualified (if not already) and develop a career within Kier.
