Estimator Job in Cambridge

My client is a large reputable construction comapny that mainly operates in the East of England. They are currently looking to strengthen their pre-construction team but appointing 2 more Estimators due to the increase in workload from their Cambridge office.

As the successful Estimator you'll be based from the Cambridge office with the option of some remote working. You'll be involved in projects across sectors such as education, commercial, high-rise residential, industrial and retail.

Role & Responsibilities

- Produce cost plans and price from first principals
- Taking-off from drawings and producing BoQ
- Subcontractor comparisons
- Pricing competitive tenders
- Attending client meetings
- Present tender information to the project teams
- Liaising closely with the buyer department to obtain prices for materials
- Pricing groundworks on Labour, Plant and Materials basis for Pre-Construction Managers review


Required Skills & Experience

- Previous experience as an Estimator
- Experience using estimating software (Experience with Conquest would advantage)
- Strong Excel knowledge
- Good organisation skills
