Quantity Surveyor Job in Milton Keynes
Hunter Dunning is proud to be working with a UK Top 5 House Builder and they now need a Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team of 12 in Milton Keynes, covering sites across the Northern Home Counties. The role offers a salary of up to £60k + car allowance £5,500 + 7.5% bonus.
The housebuilder and partnership group will be delivering 12,000 private and affordable homes every year which has earned their place in the Top 5 House Builder in the UK. They deliver housing from the North down to the South-West, delivering quality housing with sustainability and community at the forefront of their minds.
Role & Responsibilities
- Collating and issuing tender packs for sub-contractor work packages
- Negotiation and analysis of sub-contractor tender returns
- Produce tender analysis for subcontract work packages
- Completion of Subcontract orders and variations
- Subcontract payments, variations, and final accounts
- Completion of monthly CVRs and cost reporting
- Cost reporting and budget control
- Attending site project meetings
- Responsible for project lead with HA, including prepare and issue monthly HA valuations, cash flow forecasts, key date trackers.
Required Skills & Experience
- HNC / Degree in Surveying or Construction
- Experience working for a Housebuilder specifically on new build high volume developments
- Excellent IT, analytical and communication skills
- Experience with COINs is desirable
- UK Driving Licence and own car
- Ability to travel to sites across Northern Home Counties.
