Protocol is working with a further education college in Surrey to recruit their Head of Quality Improvement.

The post holder will take an operational lead on the development, implementation and monitoring of quality improvement, quality assurances processes and procedures. As part of the Observation team, to monitor and report upon the quality of teaching, learning and assessment making recommendations for continuous development and the sharing of good practice.

The post holder will take specific responsibility for further developing the quality strategy for the vocational programmes including all funding streams. The post holder will be required to lead the continuous quality assurance. Driving the continuous cycle of performance and accountability measures including key data sets.

The post will also work closely with the MIS team to ensure timely and accurate reporting that supports and challenges the curriculum and underpins intervention. The post holder will also be instrumental in supporting the College nominee in readiness for Ofsted inspections and monitoring visits



The person & qualifications
A full teaching qualification
Assessor and IQA qualifications (desirable)
Relevant degree
Experience of successfully leading and preparing a College/Colleges for Ofsted inspection and of regulatory frameworks
Strong teaching background with evidence of grade 1 teaching
Significant experience of managing and co-ordinating a mature quality assurance system within an FE context
In depth working knowledge of Awarding bodies such as City & Guilds and Pearson and their qualification frameworks
In depth knowledge of quality improvement frameworks, regulations and recent Government policy on skills, FE, HE and Apprenticeships
