Breedon Group are currently seeking an Assistant Production Manager in the Manchester/Northwest area.

As the Assistant Production Manager, you will provide support to the Production Manager in all aspects of manufacturing and production.

You will also be responsible for all aspects of Health and Safety, Environment, Quality, material management, concrete production and dispatch. When required, you will need to undertake Concrete Plant Supervisor and 4 wheeled loading shovel duties.

The role will also require you to assist the District Production Manager with tasks such as:

  • Training
  • Raising of order numbers/stock management
  • Maintaining plant Safety, Health, Environmental & Quality documentation in accordance with company procedures.
  • Delivering toolbox talks
  • Attending audits by external/internal acquisition bodies
  • Staff Resource deployment and line management (as required)
  • Other administrative duties as required
  • Management of day-to-day staffing of site
  • Undertake regular task audit and manage action through the Assure system
  • Management of contractors and planning maintenance work in line with allocated budgets

    • Industry experience is essential, and it is desirable that you have a working knowledge of regulatory requirements. A full driving licence is also essential for this role. The role will offer development opportunities in line with a management role.
