Key Responsibilities
You will provide full supervision and coordination of all service provider(s) either through internal delivery or the external supply chain to deliver site specific schemes/projects both efficiently and effectively. Assist the managers to prepare works programmes which link back to the delivery of the Contractors Plan. Support client and design teams through ECI principles on the definition, scope and objectives of the project. Overall control of schemes/projects to ensure delivery is in line with the client's expectation on programme, cost and quality. Assist, through the provision of completed scheme information to the ongoing management of the asset management database.
Liaise with internal stakeholders to ensure that scheme programme information is updated and displayed in the public domain. Delivery of the technical compliance of operations by the workforce for all scheme processes. Make sure effective checking, certifying and authorising processes are being followed. Undertake regular site safety inspections and instigate corrective actions if necessary. Ensure that effective programme management processes (including risk management) are followed. Manage the end-to-end delivery of schemes, ensuring a RAID (Risks, Assumptions, Issues & Dependencies) log is kept for each programme of work.
What do we need from you?
- New Roads Street Works Act (NRSWA) accreditation
- Health and Safety qualification, preferably IOSH or Site Management Safety Training Scheme (SMSTS)
- Project Management qualification e.g. Prince 2, MAPM, or demonstrable experience
- Experience of safety standards and SHE regulations for a variety of scheme types including working on live carriageways.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint, Insight and Works Manager software systems
- Understanding of legislation relevant to highways works (particularly New Roads and Street Works Act)
