We are currently recruiting for an exciting opportunity for an Electrical Maintenance Chargehand to join our maintenance department at our flagship Cauldon Cement Plant in Staffordshire. Our site at Cauldon is about 19 miles north east of Stafford, close to Leek and Ashbourne and surrounded by beautiful countryside. About the role You will assist the Electrical Maintenance Engineer to coordinate and manage daily maintenance routines within the maintenance department to ensure resource capacity is optimised and aligned with scheduled tasks. Other key deliverables include; Support the electrical execution engineer in the briefing of TBT, Safety briefs, NCR’s and team briefings Attend and participate in the daily 07.45 meeting and other meetings deputising for the execution engineer Assist the electrical execution engineers during daily operation, ensuring the resource capacity is fully optimised and aligned with the weekly schedule Assist the electrical execution engineer to maintain equipment performance and reliability levels Liaise between third party contractors and the electrical execution engineer Assist with the arrangement of holidays and out of hours cover where necessary Attainment of other work-related objectives as specified by the electrical execution engineer Responsibility for the completion of the daily workshop housekeeping inspections Conduct safety inductions as instructed by the electrical execution engineer Conduct LOTOTO category 2 isolations and PTW as instructed by the electrical execution engineer What will you bring? Time served electrical engineering background Relevant supervisory qualification - required to undertake Supervisor development programme Computer literacy (SAP, TIS) – basic standard and competence, i.e. word processor, spreadsheets, send/receive emails, browser and search engine use. Permit to Work - required to undertake training where required LOTOTO isolation category 2 - required to undertake training where required Ability to effectively lead a team when deputising for the electrical execution engineer Ability to interact with plant personnel and external stakeholders (e.g. production/process/logistics) What can we offer you?
