Welcome to Kier Facilities Management - the team that's putting people into FM, delivering an incredibly wide range of innovative management and maintenance solutions, right across the UK. We're a crucial part of Kier Places, providing hard and soft facilities management to hundreds of Government department sites and public buildings - offering you a role that will challenge and reward you, every single day.

Kier Places are recruiting today for a Multi-Skilled Electrician, where your role will be key to supporting the delivery of a Facilities Management Hard & Technical Services solution for our prestigious client. You will be providing planned & reactive maintenance with an Electrical bias in Government buildings in our Westminster portfolio.

Key Responsibilities

As a focused and reactive Multi-Skilled Electrician, you will deliver a combination of electrical and building fabric planned preventative (PPM), reactive maintenance, and extra works engineering services specialising in electrical disciplines, within government facilities. You will be assisting in ensuring Kier deliver a safe, customer focused, cost effective, efficient, and compliant service in order to meet its contractual and legal obligations.

This will involve completing quoted works of Electrical nature, e.g. lighting and power installation works, re-lamping of fittings and general repair, socket replacement and other repairs or installations. This will also require testing and certification of all works in accordance with NICEIC regulations.

What do we need from you?

The successful candidate for this role should be a Qualified Electrician with 18th Edition qualification, be Inspect & Test (2391) qualified, and be able to demonstrate general Engineer competence, with previous experience in a similar role within Building Services or Facilities Management.

It would be a bonus if you have PASMA/IPAF certification, and have a valid Government Security Check (SC) Clearance.

What will you receive?

You can expect a competitive salary and an outstanding package that includes a matched pension scheme up to 7.5%, 26 days' annual leave + bank holidays (with the opportunity to buy or sell holiday) together with two employee Share Scheme options (Sharesave and Share Incentive Plan). Due to the nature of this role, you will also be required to complete a Government Security Check Clearance, which can 3+ months to complete, which happens during your employment (applicants with criminal convictions will be treated on a case by case basis.
