Kier work as part of a framework for Western Power Distribution to ensure its customers have power in their homes, businesses, schools and hospitals. We are an essential member of the team mainly working on reactive and planned maintenance.
We have a fantastic opportunity for a Quantity Surveyor to join our team to assist with the control of costs, maximising value, minimising future liabilities, and maintaining the standard of quality & safety on an allocated programme area.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure commercially our tenders/ jobs are assessed correctly and risks identified
- Run weekly Cost and Plant reports and review with operations to highlight variance from Average
- Liaise with the project teams to carry out reviews of progress against contract margins
- Assist the Senior QS and Team with month end reporting.
What do we need from you?
- Hold a Degree or equivalent in Quantity Surveying
- Experience working with variety of construction contracts
- Sound Commercial and business knowledge
