The Land and Outdoor Academy is based at Northumberland Colleges' Kirkley Hall campus site at Ponteland. The curriculum area offers a range of full-time and part-time courses that encompasses: animal management, equine studies, veterinary nursing, agriculture, arboriculture, horticulture, floristry, countryside and environment. These range from entry level up to foundation degree with associated short specialist courses being offered.
The Animal Management curriculum benefits from the Kirkley Zoo with over 200 species of animal an Equestrian centre and two working farms.
Role purpose:-
They will plan and deliver practical animal management teaching and assessment. Monitor the progress of their learners and assist in creating and cultivating strong links with the Animal Management industry.
