Kier Utilities keep our telecoms clients' customers connected to superfast broadband, digital TV and the latest full-fibre gigabit internet services through the design and construction of new fibre networks as well as the maintenance of existing HFC networks.
Key Responsibilities
The role is a permanent role working on the BT and Openreach network. The role is diverse and would suit someone with a strong work ethic and someone that has the initiative and knowledge of the Fibre Optic Infrastructure and network.
To be successful candidates must be experienced, highly motivated, quality-conscious, hardworking and reliable.
In this role you will be carrying out area surveys to ascertain whether any obstructions will prevent a successful installation, completing survey documentation packs, meeting with clients to resolve any issues and conducting Quality Checks and onsite Safety Audits. As well as gaining an understanding and surveying existing network infrastructure. You will also be delivering a consistently high level of customer service when out in the field and working with other departments including project managers and Co-ordinators to build program of works.
What are we looking for?
To be successful in this role you will be well organised and able to prioritise effectively, have a basic understanding of the contract terms and conditions applicable to their work and be able to liaise effectively with Client Management teams, Streetworks and planning representatives and Client representative's. You will also have an awareness and understanding of the Communications Network Installation Specifications.
Ideally you will also have a minimum of 2 years' experience working on the BT/OR Network, have excellent IT skills and knowledge of Orion and the Microsoft Office package, have an excellent knowledge of FTTP/FTTH/CAT A Planning processes. S11, S13, S18, SA001 Overhead, SA002 Underground.
