We are currently recruiting for an Information Security Manager to manage the Governance, Risk and Compliance within Kier Highways covering contracts held with National Highways. Kier Highways are employed on a number of National Highways contracts, which are held as Critical National Infrastructure, and which cover wide geographical parts of the UK.

Key Responsibilities

In this exciting role, you will own the Kier Highways Information Security practises and processes to meet UK Government, National Highways and Kiers stringent policies and controls. You will assess, analyse and report on the security needs and drive the development and implementation of Kier Highways Information Security strategy. You'll provide leadership in assessing the security governance, risk and compliance requirements across Kier Highways and provide leadership between technology groups and other Kier Business Units. You'll also provide security expertise across security standards and accreditations, measure and control the effectiveness of the security controls framework and maintain the Information Security Management System. You will also be required to derive and deliver documented Information Security Management Plans which incorporate Regulatory, Legal and Compliance in relation to UK Government, Client and Kier Information Security policies. In addition, you will devise and deliver bespoke security education awareness training to Kier Highways employees and third-party employees. You will also work with Kier's strategic partners to ensure overall security governance is understood and being adhered to by the Business Unit. You'll stand as Kier Highways focal point on the Cabinet Office Resilience Direct forum.

What are we looking for?

You'll have a proven background in Information Security and Risk Management together with a solid understanding of UK Government policies, in respect of Critical National Infrastructure, working with UK Government data and Personal Identifiable Information. You'll understand the impact of non-adherence to such doctrine, and that of emerging threats which may impact on Kier Highways end user technologies and infrastructure. You'll also have some technical understanding and experience of working within a business environment that includes managing IT security governance, for government contracts and client facing organisations and exposure to working within a hybrid infrastructure environment.
