Kier Places are recruiting today for a Mobile Electrical Engineer, where your role will be key to supporting the delivery of a Facilities Management Hard & Technical Services solution for our prestigious client, the Stoke & Staffordshire Fire & Rescue Authority.
Key Responsibilities
As a focused and reactive Mobile Electrical Engineer you will deliver a combination of electrical, mechanical, water and building fabric planned (PPM) , reactive and extra works engineering services specialising in electrical disciplines, across a region to multiple client sites relating to Fire Stations & the Fire Service. You will be assisting in ensuring Kier deliver a safe, customer focused, cost effective, efficient and compliant service in order to meet its contractual and legal obligations.
This will involve completing quoted works of Electrical nature, e.g. lighting and power installation works, re-lamping of fittings and general repair, socket replacement and other repairs or installations. This will also require testing and certification of all works in accordance with NICEIC regulations. The main duties of this position will be reactive focused and to charge time out each day accordingly, but you will be asked to help with Planned Preventative Maintenance if needed.
What do we need from you?
The ideal Mobile Electrical Engineer candidate for this role should be a Qualified Electrician with 18th Edition qualification, be Inspect & Test (2391) qualified, and be able to demonstrate general Engineer competence, with previous experience in a similar role within Building Services or Facilities Management. Ideally, you will have PASMA & IPAF certification, and L8 Legionella awareness.
Due to the nature of this role, you should have a full driving licence, and be able to participate in the on-call rota system covering out of hours and weekends.
