Project Manager
Aquapak Polymers is a developer, manufacturer and distributor of a strong, fully biodegradable and marine safe polymer resin capable of replacing standard plastics in several everyday applications.
We have a great opportunity to work as part of the growing PMO team to deliver results in this exciting global business.
Reporting to the Programme Manager, duties include the set-up and control of projects through the full lifecycle.
Duties include
- To plan and scope out individual projects to meet business plan objectives in conjunction with the identified objectives set by the commercial/technical teams
- To draw up project plans with identified resource requirements and responsibilities with alternative options where applicable for presentation to identified stakeholder, both internal and external
- To manage a portfolio of internal and external projects and regularly communicate progress to all stakeholders through the use of Gantt charts/ spreadsheets, accurate recording on the CRM system, written reports and presentations
- To report back regularly to the Programme manager on project progress or issues/solutions to enable strategic decisions to be made in a timely manner
- To ensure the clear communication of project responsibilities to all relevant parties and to regularly update the project owners on progress against plans through management of all stakeholders
- Create and deliver project work plans and revise as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirement to ensure all stakeholders are kept informed.
- To build and pro-actively manage relationships with relevant stake holders, including customers to ensure effective and efficient implementation of the project(s).
- Highlight areas of concern as soon as they are identified to mitigate risks and potential roadblocks to the delivery of projects and present solutions to meet business objectives
- To ensure project documents are complete, current, and appropriately stored to enable communication of progress and access of information within company systems
You must have the following as a minimum:
- Previous experience of at least two years project management in a busy commercially driven organisation including;
- Working to Prince/APMQ framework standards
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and great attention to detail
- An understanding of the packaging industry would be an advantage alongside a passion for environmental issues
You will also have GCSE's/A-level in Maths & English, knowledge of all Microsoft Office programmes, especially Excel and have an ambition to develop your career in a dynamic growing business with global impact
Starting salary c £25-30k
