Gleeson Recruitment Group are supporting a business based in Birmingham to recruit an Interim Financial Controller on a 6 month fixed term contract. The role has come about as the current Financial Controller has gone on secondment within the business as there is lots of projects in progress. They are looking for an experienced Financial Controller to oversee and drive the team, as this role is a people management position they are looking for someone who is available to be on site 4 days a week and 1 day from home.

Responsibilities of the Interim Financial Controller include:

  • Produce quality information in both the p&l and balance sheet and present in an easy to understand narrative

  • Ensure that Business Partnering is being carried out across the business and budgets are robust and challenged.

  • Ensure sales are on track and identify areas of support as required by the entity CEOs.

  • Production of statutory accounts packs and financial statements and engaging with auditors

  • Review of VAT returns

The Finance Director is ambitious and is looking for a Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) who has previous experience in a Financial Controller position and has the ability to lead and deliver results. If this role is of interest to you please click apply
