Location: Agile working- mixture of working from home and site offices. Office base will be Stevenage

Within Kier Utilities we support UK Power Networks in 'keeping the lights on' for 8.2m customers throughout London, the South and the South East. As part of the ED1SON Capital Delivery Alliance- comprising of UKPN, Morrison Utility Services and Clancy Docwra- we are charged with delivering £1billion+ project programme in the 2016-2023 ED1 regulatory period.
We are now recruiting for a Quantity Surveyor to join the team based in Stevenage to provide transparent, accurate and timely commercial reporting on the Capital Programme which has an annual budget of circa £30m.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and proactively assist the commercial process, efficiencies, practices, and risk
- Administer subcontracts, including payment, change management and final account closure & ensure timely assessments and payments with strategic cash management for allocated projects
- Ensure that all team members (including site staff) understand and adhere to the contractual arrangements, in order to meet the Contractor & Client requirements
- Maintain accurate records ensuring financial information for audits and cost assurance are readily available
- Hold a Degree in Quantity Surveying and experience in surveying ideally within the utilities industry
- Hold experience of NEC3 framework and good understanding of an Alliance contract delivery
- Excellent commercial awareness and understanding of budgeting, cost control and risk mitigation
- Company car or cash allowance of £4,500 p.a.
